Day 01: U.S.-Kuching
Depart U.S. for Kuching.

Day 02: Kuching
Arrive Kuching. Transfer to hotel.
Accommodation: Hilton Hotel Kuching.

Day 03: Kuching
A tour will introduce you to this historical capital of Sarawak, visiting Kuching’s Chinatown, the Cat Statue, the famous Sarawak Museum, Central Market with spice dealers and textile shops. (B).

Day 04: Kuching-Lemanak
A coach journey will take you through lush green countryside with rice fields, pepper gardens and rubber plantations. Lunch at a local bazaar in Iban country. Onward to Lemanak jetty and take a longboat ride up the Lemanak River for the Serubah Longhouse. Enjoy a fresh jungle produce dinner, join the local for traditional dances and music. Overnight at the guest quarters of the longhouse. (B/L/D).

Day 05: Lemanak-Kuching-Sandakan
In the morning, see a blowpipe demonstration and learn to shoot one yourselves; then take a short walk through the forest with Iban trackers and learn about traditional use of rainforest plants in Iban culture. Depart for Kuching airport for domestic flight to Sandakan in the afternoon. Transfer to hotel after arrival. (B/L).

Day 06: Sandakan-Sukau
Visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center and observe man’s ‘closest relative’. Take a cruise from Sandakan jetty through the Sulu Sea and the magnificent Mangrove Forest for the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary. Lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. After lunch, cruise upriver to Sukau village and observe the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. (B/L/D).

Day 07: Sukau-Danum Valley
A scenic coach ride will take you to Lahad Datu where you’re required to register with the park office before visiting Danum Valley and Borneo Rainforest Lodge located on the edge of a 438 sq. kilometer of undisturbed rainforest. The lowland rainforest is home to many of Sabah’s lowland fauna, including the rare Sumatran Rhinoceros, Elephants, Clouded Leopards, Orang Utans and about 275 species of birds. In the evening, a slide show will serve as an introduction of the area. You can go and spotlighting to observe some nocturnal animals if weather permits. (B/L/D).

Day 08: Danum Valley
In the morning, explore the forest for birds and mammals, visit an ancient burial site, trek to a waterfall and take a dip in the refreshing rock pools. Afternoon free at leisure for you to explore the surrounding area at your own pace. (B/L/D).

Day 09: Danum Valley-Kota Kinabalu
Transfer to Lahad Datu Airport for domestic flight to Kota Kinabalu. Rest of the day free for you to explore this capital city of Sabah. (B/L).

Day 10: Kota Kinabalu-Kuala Lumpur
Transfer to airport for an early afternoon flight to Kuala Lumpur. Enjoy a Malay cultural dinner show and visit the buzz ling night bazaar. (B/D).
Accommodation: Reanissance Hotel (East Wing).

Day 11: Kuala Lumpur
Morning tour of Kuala Lumpur, visiting Masjid Jamek, Little India, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Kuala Lumpur Lake Garden, National Monument and King’s Palace. Afternoon free at leisure. (B)

Day 12: Kuala Lumpur-U.S.
Day free. Transfer to airport for departure. (B)
